1. Privacy Policy
The Harrisdale Corner ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of our customers in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information collected through this website, in-store, and via our online ordering and booking systems, and applies to all visitors and customers of The Harrisdale Corner located at Shop 10, Stockland Harrisdale Shopping Centre, Corner Nicholson Rd & Yellowwood Ave, Harrisdale, Western Australia.
2. What We Collect
When you place an order, make a booking, sign up for an account, or contact us through this website, we may collect:
- Full name, phone number, and email address
- Booking details (date, time, number of guests, special requests)
- Order details (items ordered, dietary or allergy notes, pickup/dine-in preference)
- Payment-related information you choose to provide (we do not store full card details on this website)
- General website usage data collected via Google Analytics (see Section 7)
We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to provide our services to you. You are not obliged to provide personal information, but if you choose not to, we may be unable to process your booking, order, or enquiry.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Process and confirm table bookings and food/drink orders
- Contact you regarding your booking or order (including changes, delays, or confirmations)
- Respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form
- Maintain records for reasonable business, accounting, and customer service purposes
- Improve our website, menu, and service offering
- Comply with our legal obligations, including those relating to food safety and liquor licensing
We do not use your personal information for direct marketing unless you have separately consented to receive such communications, and you may opt out of any marketing communication at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 13.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose limited information to trusted third-party service providers strictly for the purpose of operating this website and our booking/ordering systems, including:
- Google LLC (Forms, Sheets, Apps Script, Analytics, Maps) — for processing bookings, orders, and website analytics
- Payment processing providers (e.g. Zeller, Square) — only once online payments are enabled, and only to the extent necessary to process a transaction you initiate
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger) — for the technical operation and storage of this website
These providers are only permitted to use your information to deliver services to us and are subject to their own privacy policies and applicable data protection obligations. We may also disclose information where required by Australian law, or to protect the safety of our staff, customers, or property.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. This includes the use of secure, reputable third-party platforms (such as Google's infrastructure) for data storage, restricted access to booking and order records to authorised staff only, and regular review of our data handling practices. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us via the internet.
6. Your Rights & Access
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct any inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, or misleading information. You may also request deletion of your personal information, including deletion of any customer account created through this website (see the Account page), subject to our legitimate business or legal record-keeping requirements. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe, consistent with our obligations under Australian privacy law.
7. Cookies & Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics (GA4) and may use Google Search Console to understand website traffic and improve our online presence. These tools may place cookies or similar technologies on your device to collect anonymised or pseudonymised usage data (such as pages visited and general location). You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some website functionality but will not prevent you from placing an order or booking by phone or in person.
8. Terms and Conditions of Use
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. This website and its content (including our logo, menu descriptions, photography, and branding) are the property of The Harrisdale Corner and may not be reproduced, copied, or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent. We aim to keep menu items, prices, and opening hours accurate and up to date, but these are subject to change without notice, and the in-store menu and pricing will prevail in the event of any discrepancy.
9. Bookings, Orders & Cancellations
Table bookings made through this website are subject to availability and are not guaranteed until confirmed by our team. We recommend arriving within 15 minutes of your booking time; tables may be released after this period at management's discretion. For online food and drink orders, please ensure all details, including allergy and dietary information, are accurate at the time of ordering — while we take care to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment given the nature of our kitchen. Cancellations or changes to a booking or order should be made as early as possible by phone or email using the details in Section 13. Where online payment is enabled in future, any applicable refund conditions will be displayed at the time of payment.
10. Responsible Service of Alcohol
The Harrisdale Corner is committed to the responsible service of alcohol in accordance with Western Australian liquor licensing laws. We reserve the right to refuse service of alcohol to any person who is intoxicated, disorderly, or unable to provide valid proof of age (18 years or over). BYO wine is accepted subject to a corkage fee as displayed on our bar menu, and remains subject to the same responsible service obligations.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, The Harrisdale Corner excludes liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, including any technical errors, delays, or interruptions to our online booking or ordering systems. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred on you under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or business operations. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
